For the love of Mike ... would some of you learn to read!
Here are the facts:
1. Richard Desmond owns Channel 5.
2. Richard Desmond wants to put Big Brother on Channel 5.
3. Richard Desmond owns The Daily Star.
4. Richard Desmond does not own Big Brother.
5. Richard Desmond wants to use the Daily Star to help push negotiations for Big Brother in a favourable direction.
6. Richard Desmond runs a story in the Daily Star that appears to say it's a done deal - until you read beyond the first couple of sentences, where you find out that:
- No contracts have been signed.
- No date has been set for signing contracts.
Big Brother will probably come back. If it does, it will almost certainly come back on Channel 5. But at the moment, what you are reading is a very public attempt by Richard Desmond to influence the final stages of negotiations in his favour.
This suggests to me that there are still a couple of serious sticking points. The very public use of the Daily Star might be a genuine exclusive reveal that those sticking points are now addressed, or it could be a final desperate throw of the dice. Nothing is settled until there is ink on the contracts.

An Americanism, just a slightly more polite way of expressing frustration than certain more common phrases.
'Mike' is apparently St Michael, patron saint of warriors (which I didn't know until I looked it up just now).

Seriously though, Desmond has got what he wanted - this thread had (finally) died off, because there was nothing new to speculate about. Now it's all a-buzz again. There's still nothing new to speculate about, but the story has just had some major coverage in a national newspaper, and that gives it some currency and legitimacy.
Forums all over the interwebs are full of this once more, and Desmond can go to Endemol tomorrow morning and say, "are you sure you lot really want to keep hanging on for [whatever it is they're still insisting on putting in the contract that Desmond doesn't like]? Look at all the chatter, people are desperate for Big Brother! The sooner you sign the contract the sooner you can start making money! Come on! Do it! Do it now!"
Or words to that effect, anyway.

I know we have heard about Miss Cole but that is not the best presenter. Eye candy yes but presenting... no.
Has to be someone well known, funny and at ease with live tv
Emma Willis for BBLB for sure.

One of the red top said that Davina had ruled herself out.
It also said that Cheryl Cole was being chased for the job, as shes pee'd at SC over x-factor (not saying who the US judges are).
