Hmm, my feeling was that there wasn't enough urgency in the Dutch game, they were just waiting for the chances, which came sure enough. The first half was dire, and things only sprung into life after Holland scored. First England goal was off-side, and by that time Sneijder and Huntelaar there had been a rut of substitutions which swung the game in England's favour. I wouldn't quite say Holland were outplayed, though Holland definitely weren't on top of their game.

Yeah. I saw joking.
That said I don't think he is the right manager for England. I thought that before the game and continue to do so, and would have done so regardless of the result. Friendlies mean nothing as far as I am concerned and are not great barometers of future success. Spain, won today, lose a lot of friendlies and yet are the World and European Champions....

I honestly don't think anyone here will disagree with you on Stuart Pearce. I want Mourinho and that's as far as that goes.
Not too fussed at all about Redknapp but if by some miracle Mourinho becomes the next England manager I doubt anyone would be displeased.

I'd rather go for Roy Hodgson than Harry.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Redknapp is good because the players seem to like him, he seems to be able to motivate them. That's really what you want in a England manager, someone who can unite the players they are given for a short period of time and get to them to play like a team. The rest of it is really out of their hands. Even advanced tactical plans are difficult to implement because they require time and a settled team.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Problem was that they only had what 2 days playing together as soon as the season is over you get what 2 weeks of friendlies to gel together
personally i think this England team shows more than the likes of lamps, terry and shrek.

There was only Liverpool, but I still find that questionable, given time for his changes to settle down he would have made them into a top team.
Redknapp is clearly a class act as a manager but other than making West Ham and Pompey punch above their weight for a few years and a couple of good seasons at Spurs really does not have any experience at managing a top club or at international level, which is completely different to club level.
