Nowtv is available on numerous devices including ROKU, EE, certain smart tvs, PC and a few others, vm did not want to pay so they don't get pretty simple really.
I stand by what i've always said VM should never of sold their channels they had a great bargaining chip but greed overcame sense.

I agree with you about Now TV. There is no reason why that shouldn't be available to Full House subscribers on Tivo. However, the absence of the Sky Atlantic channel on other platforms is noteworthy.

Look like EE only carry the same channels as Freeview.

It doesn't really matter that Sky Atlantic is also available on Now TV. Now TV *is* Sky and its customers are purchasing the service from Sky on a retail basis. That's not an indication of Sky being willing to provide Sky Atlantic on a wholesale basis at a reasonable price. I'm sure that Sky don't care what device is used to access Now TV, whether it be a Now TV box, a phone, a PC, an EE TV Box or a converted microwave oven. I'm also sure that not every pay tv provider would be happy to have a Now TV app, effectively competing wiith their own pay tv lineup.

But the news that BoxNation isn't being lumped in with the current BT Sports channels on VM's top tier is an indication that there are limits to how far VM is prepared to subsidise sports channels within an entertainment package. If BT continues to add more sports content, requiring more cash from VM, there's no guarantee that VM will add that content to "Full House".

But it won't be competing to the detriment of Virgin Media if the app was only available to Full House subscribers on their platform.

If some of those Full House subscribers find that most of the content they watch is available on Now TV, it may encourage them to ditch VM and get a Now TV box. A risk they probably aren't prepared to take.

[QUOTE=theone2k10;35875227]Come on this is VM i don't think any proof is needed, it has been said many times Sky offered Sky Atlantic to vm and vm wouldn't pay the asking price so Daves theory is absolute cobblers.[COLOR="Silver"]
sky set high price knowing no sensible company would pay it so they could say it offered and sky own now tv only reason it on there

Kinda like BT Sports, you mean, cough, cough
Actually, adding BT sports to XL did me a favour; it gave me the final push to go to M TV and streaming, which I'd been thinking about for quite a while. I did, at the beginning of this year, add the minimum pay TV pack available (M+) to get three channels showing US drama.

Can you provide evidence of this? Not just vm say so although i will admit looking at whats been posted it does look like Sky set a high price but we don't know that.
Apparantly BT and Sky are close to a deal but i thought Sky didn't like bt because br bitch slapped them with champions leagu, if and itis a very big if Bt do get sky channels and Sky atlantic gets included then questions need to be asked of vm, if the sky channels show up on bt tv and no sky atlantic then it will prove sky want too much money for it.
However i will eat my shoes if the badic sky channels show up on bt tv.

I do agree with this i can not see nowtv being available on vms tivo any time soon as it would undermine vms offerings of sky channels, even if sky wanted nowtv on the tivo it is highly likely vm will not allow it.

Don't full house customers get the sky channels anyway? Which would make it pointless to have nowtv app only available to them.

SKY Atlantic will be 6 years old in February. Must admit, for whatever reason, the channel doesn't appear to be destined for Virgin Media.
Good deal on at Currys for those who are a little SKY Atlantic curious. NOW TV with 6 months Entertainment pass only £19.00. £38.00 for the full year. Works out at £3.16 per month. Cheaper than the inevitable price rises we'll all see, regardless of TV provider, in 2017.
