It is a shame that such simple basic features have turned into a very slow long winded "workarounds". What was a simple single key press, to check the most recent recordings now takes 30 or so key presses and the results get squashed into the middle of the screen and then you have to go through the same menu options to turn it off again. I guess that is progress for you!

Re: Major TiVo Update
Available On Demand shows are linked automatically when you set a Series Link+ for 'recording and streaming'
Existing Series Links are set to recording only after the update.

Re: Major TiVo Update
Even if you have a 'recording and streaming' series link set up, you can change the view in the Show folder to only display specifically recorded programmes.

Does this increase the use of your hard drive, Ben, or does the Tivo simply link to Netflix when you select a streamed recording from there?

Re: Major TiVo Update
There is no additional space used, TiVo will list available episodes from all available on demand sources. So depending on the where the series is available, you may end up with the same episode available from multiple on demand sources.

You don't need to keep turning it on and off. Just add Recordings to the left-hand pane and leave it there. Then you can select "All" to see them grouped, or "Recordings" to see them ungrouped. As Recordings appears at the bottom of the list you can select it with a single button press (Channel Down)

Re: Major TiVo Update
Yes. The TiVo logo on the Home screen (and others) will have changed from a 'handwritten' style to the 'TiVO' logo you can see on this page https://www.tivo.com/about/resource-center/logos

I could but it just looks ugly and is much slower and all the titles get truncated too much. Was better the old way. They should have just left the blue button alone instead of making everything a compromise. Updates should make things better not worse.

For the most part I've been really pleased with the update, the functionality improvements are very welcome and the box is generally a lot quicker.
But when it does go slow, it's bad. But 343 series links can't be helping..if that's the cause, then I can accept that.

And there was us with 147 series links thinking that was a lot.
