Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
I'll make a mental note to keep my FTTC running even if/when I have a VM connection running.
I was planning to anyway for a few reasons.

I have a friend that does. They don't like it when tech goes down.

Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
When I worked from home a lot, I always had two suppliers - my VM home service, and the company paid for a BT Broadband line.

Only reason I don't right now is that it wouldn't supply much resiliency. Same cabinets, same cable bundles, etc.
Did explore alternative options but ran into issues due to lack of road adoption, and that a company I spoke to became so fed up with issues with an Openreach product they stopped offering it.
Still have a router to bond lines, and I have a work supplied SD-WAN unit.

I once had ADSL and FTTC as I couldn't get cable and my thinking was that if someone took both my cabs out it would be a bummer as they are about 50M apart.
I had cable in last week but it's dire in the evenings so I have called up to cancel. I might well do that again with ADSL and FTTC. I also have a load balancer thing which is meant to go in a rack but i've never used it.

Yes, as you only have ADSL from both at the moment - I had VM Cable and BT ADSL...

I've VDSL. ADSL here is excruciatingly slow.

Re: Virgin Media Homeworks 300Mb
Was great fun trying to work from home on that, believe you me.
Once VM arrives here, if VM arrives here, I'll be set. Still a bit of uncertainty!

My sister-in-law lives not too far from you and her ADSL is dire - my VM 3G blows it away! Her road has just been done as part of the expansion works and she's patiently waiting for it to go live.
Cheers

Excellent!
Considering I have never been on the BT forum then I would be hard pressed to have anything Dealt and advised with.
