So you'd have no problems with being pushed to 10Mbit early and getting no more and possibly less speed than you did on 2Mbit?
It'll be ready when it's ready. Until the needed upgrade work is done it's a very bad idea to release the uplift.
The difference isn't 5GBP/month, it's 2 I believe though don't quote me on that. Either way I'm pretty sure M on its' own was 18GBP/month and L is 20.
You guys are even more impatient than the 4-10 and 10-20 upgrades and they were over a much longer period of time.
Virgin's fault for blowing sunshine up your bums for months on end about the uplift though I guess.
To simplify.
1 person out of say 400 going 2 to 10Mbit = no worries.
Potentially 300 of 400 going 2 to 10Mbit = a potentially seriously big increase in demand on capacity which could grind the local network those 400 share to a halt. Customers who were previously on L and XL won't like only being able to get 2Mbit because M customers jumped up and down until they got upgraded early.
EDIT: I wonder if 'old' L customers are getting pushed to the DOCSIS 3 equipment already or if all tiers are getting load balanced across everything?
