haha ok thnaks for that i bear that in mind then

Hopefully it wont take that long, but considering i am a new customer everything will be done from new i guess. O h also out of interest i would say i am about 100-20yds from the green box at the end of my road, does that have a bearing with speed ? the closer i am the more likely i am going to get 50mbit?

Once your road is enabled the distance does not matter as the engineer will compensate for distance.

If your a new customer (First time install), I would allow a good hour for services to be installed, maybe a little bit more.

I live around 250yds from my green box, and it dont make any difference, I still max out.

No I live around 400yards from my cab and still get full 20Mb.

so that little green box outside your house the close to your house the better? mine is a few yards not even that past my house. so thats why i would always recieve full 20mbit?.. and likely to recieve full 50mbit with the green box so close?

The distance on cable should not matter, but you being so close is an install techs dream, plus any repull would be a doddle.

oh so to me it really doesent make a difference just for the tech guy can get it done quicker when i order the 50mbit if it needs new equipment or something

The tech will be made up that he does not have to go far to access your cab, so make sure you make him a nice cup of tea and offer some biscuits and he will be on your side.

Probably a line extender cunningly lurking in between they're only small, 400 yards is way outside norms without amplification in between
