I quite agree, there's Alan Smith for one. Sent off on England debut IIRC. Rooney only ever got as far as being substituted for his own good. And he hasn't deliberately tried to end someone's career and then boasted about it*, or kicked a fan**, or punched an international team mate***, or kicked a ball at a fan****, or become the first England player sent off at Wembley*****.
So there are lots of people worse than Rooney. It's lucky he's not at the same club as them, really, or they'd be a really bad influence on him. Oh, hang on.

Here is a little quiz to test your abilitiies, I know you will google so go ahead.
1. Of the 92 Premier and Football League clubs in England and Wales, only seven are located in Conservative-held constituencies. Can you name them?
2. Only one of the present 20 Premiership grounds is not in a Labour-held constituency. Which one?
3. Which Premiership 'constituencies' are represented by the Home and Foreign secretaries?
4. Which neighbouring clubs are in the constituencies of the previous Home Secretary and the present Minister for Sport?
5. Which Premiership club have a manager with the same surname as their outgoing MP?
6. Which League Two club is in the only constituency in England that was not won by one of the three major parties at the last election?
7. Which League One club has an MP named Rooney?
8. Who were the last club to win the FA Cup under a Conservative government?
9. Name the four present Labour frontbenchers who share a surname with an FA Cup finalist from the years since Tony Blair came to power in 1997.
10. Name the three post-War England internationals who share a surname with a post-War British Prime Minister.
Going out now but will check back later.

Guess that was to difficult ( or boring and couldn't be arsed) for you all.
Here are the answers anyway.
1) Nottingham Forest, Boston United, Peterborough United, Macclesfield Town, Southend United, Wycombe Wanderers, Bournemouth.
2) Portsmouth (Lib Dem).
3) Blackburn Rovers (Jack Straw), Norwich City (Charles Clarke).
4) Sheffield Wednesday (David Blunkett), Sheffield United (Richard Caborn)
5) Fulham (Iain and Chris Coleman).
6) Kidderminster Harriers (Independent, Kidderminster Hospital and Health Concern).
7) Bradford City (Terry Rooney).
8) Manchester United (1996 - the 1997 final was two weeks after the election).
9) Charles Clarke (Steve, Chelsea 1997), Paul Boateng (George, Aston Villa 2000), Paul Murphy (Danny, Liverpool 2001), Gordon Brown (Wes, Man Utd 2004).
10) Ray Wilson, Ian Callaghan, Mark Chamberlain. To complete the picture, the other non-Labour 'football constituencies' are: Portsmouth, Leicester City, Chesterfield, Colchester United, Torquay United, Cheltenham Town, Yeovil Town (all Lib Dem), Kidderminster Harriers (KHHC), Shrewsbury Town (Labour defected to Lib Dems).

Who cares, it would have been a penalty with the keeper sent off otherwise.

Watch it from behind, it was more a baros foul TBH. Cech's eyes were on the ball.
Chelsea are unlucky to not get anything from this - they have been the far better side..
TBH, i'd even prefer liverpool to win but we need chelsea to stuff those slimey scummy iti's in the final...
You'd say pool had a chance in the final after watching this game cos there defence was immense....... but it's such a big rival game, pool had to win them. Liverpool can't do this in the final
Man we need chelsea in the final
