For me, it showed the interface down even more, means you cannot pick which channels series links record from any more, and has some bugs which corrupt series links and planned recordings now needs to be manually managed on a daily bases especially with moved and deleted items continuing to cause conflicts now and particularly if you are forced to use "all channels". You cannot turn grouping off in My Shows anymore, so seeing newly recorded programs is very difficult and my Groups are all messed up especially when they have recordings from both before and after the update. The count on each folder is also broken now and no longer reflects the numbers of recordings inside. Nothing else on my long list of existing bugs is fixed other than Dolby Digital for those with Samsung boxes. Surprised they didn't take more time getting it right given that all this came up during "trials".

So they haven't fixed the continual VOD not being available then?

And again tonight - but this time I've noticed there's a certain logic to it.
I've got 343 links in total, the box has taken the bottom 60-odd links and put them mid-table, think there's also another block somewhere too.
How very irritating.

Weren't you going to post the error code for me? Whatever, it's unlikely to be a fault in the box software.

Is the answer perhaps to select 'New only' when setting your recordings?

Some are reporting problems with series link +. Do you think this is a general problem or have some viewers got difficulties with their boxes?
I have been looking forward to this update, but if it messes up all my recordings and adds loads of repeats, this will be a nightmare. Can we resolve these without too much hassle (eg through 'settings')? I have a worry I will have recordings deleted as my box tends to be 80-95% full most of the time!

Sorry SP, totally forgot! I'll try and remember next time, although it was working ok last time we used it, albeit a bit slow.

Re: Major TiVo Update
Hi all,
Whilst I do like some of the changes I found my boxes to be MUCH slower than they were before. Selecting a show from the recording list, especially if it is in a folder is really slow. I haven't timed it but the delay with a black screen is significant. One box is typically less than 20% full the other one runs between 60% and 90% full.
Last time the one of the techs was out to tweak my power levels, again, he did mention that some folks were having speed problems with TiVO not interacting properly with other HDMI devices.
Any thoughts....

There is no option to use any of the coloured buttons in 'Manage Series Link+'
Are you thinking of 'My Shows'?
I'm on the new software, perhaps this was different with the old software though??

Yes, I am thinking about how your recordings are displayed. If that is the same as now, I am happy.
Clearly I was at cross purposes here. I scarcely ever look at my series links, I don't really see a need to. I may need to have to look at the recording options and alter these from 'new and re-runs' to 'new only'. I don't want tons of unwanted recordings clogging up the system.
I tried to record Peppa Pig for my grandkids a while back and it was a good 5 minutes before the box recovered. Then I had to delete them all again! I have no wish to repeat that experience or lose my recordings because the series link + managed to take up all the space on my hard drive!!

In recordings, you'll lose the ability to not have programmes in groups.

You can still do this by selecting Recordings in the left-hand column of My Shows. If Recordings isn't shown, you can enable it by pressing green and adding it to the categories.

Re: Major TiVo Update
As just discussed above, in the main My Shows you can't. But you can use the Recordings group workaround Spiderplant has posted
