We all know what a massive organisation ESPN is, but I would have thought that if they really interested in getting more UK football rights they would have been in for them to fill out there live action from the UK.
It will be interesting to see now if they will do battle with Sky for Premier League rights when they come up for auction in a couple of Years I am now more sceptical than I was, IMO they will carve the rights up between them so they do not pay to much.

I am even more sceptical or is it worried that they aren't as interested in the UK market than I hoped they were. I just hope they don't pull out and we lose ESPNA.

The press release does say the agreement included access to Sky programming over VM's tv on demand service, so that must be using the same format as all other vod shows.

The only special measures needed are integrating Sky's red button service onto cable, but you'd know more about that than me.

Considering the press release was from June last year, it sure is a long wait for the Sky stuff. But the addition of Sky Arts HD shows progress, finally!

ITV Digital's bid for Football League football was the straw that broke the camel's back. It was a rather big straw but they had many serious problems, none more so than it is quite likely that more people stole their services than actually paid for them!

They came up with the genuis idea of providing dirt cheap pre paid boxes that required no identification checks, people just slapped their own cards in them or merely pocketed a DTT receiver for the extra free channels. They eventually saw the error of their ways but maybe it was a bit late!

So is that right enough that Virgin are getting Sky Anytime? Would be a bit of a coup (is that how you spell it) if they did and it included movies.
