I'm not sure if NTL are doing work around my area on the connection speeds but my internet keeps going down. Not sure if it's just my router either

If all this is true why is there nothing on the NTL website? Surely they would be advertising it to attract more customers

Re: [Merged] *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please
Don't know if it's been posted in this thread yet or not, but I just posted this into a new (now closed thread). Seems appropriate for the last few comments:
Quote:
Whilst enjoying my standard heart attack on opening my NTL bill this month I noticed an offer leaflet that they had slipped into the envelope. This offer is for 300k broadband for "£1 5.99 a month for your first year". The small print says that this is a 12 month minimum term contract available until 28/02/2005.
I'm just wondering what happens to all of those new customers with 12 month contracts when the NTL speed change occurs? Firstly I'd imagine they'd be ****ed, secondly, will they be allowed to upgrade at a price like everyone else?
Tell you something though... It's obvious now that we're not going to see the speed upgrade until after the 28/02/2005. That's pretty much guaranteed.

Re: [Merged] *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please
yes its been pulled back, but I think if it gets pulled back much further NTL could be done for false advertising because when they first announced these speed upgrades you can bet they pulled in extra customers from it on the basis these customers were going to get these nice speeds, but now these customers will have up to 50% of their contracts without the speeds available.

From the replies that I've had to my previous posts NTL don't care about current customers do they.

Difficult to see how they could be done for false advertising, when they haven't advertised it yet!

Re: [Merged] *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please
I have been helped with my choice I wasn't sure if I would upgrade or not as it would cost £25 but after seeing that NTL are cutting back again on what is essential for me to have an internet services running as smooth as possible also a phone line that I can still use over the weekends even if the cab has loss of power as its sorted regardless of time. Why should I give them a one off payment of £25.. think about it how many customers if they all pay the £25 how much bonus will NTL have for the bosses.

NTL SPEED UPGRADE which area & when upgraded.
Please keep this thread as a new fresh one about this subject (ntl broadband speed upgrade)....Iam tired of having to trawl through endless page after page in the other similar named thread I imagine others will be too, no ?
Anyway, we all know the speed upgrades are taking place roundabout now or in the very near future
What iam hoping to find out is >>>
Could people please take the time to post in here when thier area has been upgraded, I.E - Glasgow, London etc etc...then that way it will help all of us who are desperate to know when the upgrades are taking place in OUR area, ya know what I mean guys ??? makes sense, doesnt it ?
cheers
