I would give Moyes a break. It's been less than 10 games in the league. It seems to me that when United fans said they would have patience and support their man they meant they would only do so as long as they kept winning all the time. 10 games, after taking over from Sir Alex, is far too early to judge him.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Whilst I don't agree with sacking Moyes yet, What gave anyone the impression he's good enough to tackle the United job. He's spent near enough his entire career around mid table.
Any top class manager wouldn't be in this position with that team right now. Depleted or not. Why should United fans be patient when they've got the quality and money to have instant success. What do you think the new man city manager is doing? settling in or gunning for the league?

Chelsea have the best midfield in the league at the moment and they're just youngsters. Chelsea will keep improving and should they get strikers scoring goals then I feel the conclusion to the league is inevitable.

it wont just be about strikers clicking when there are so many midfielders to handle. you have to have starters in the squad. it will be some achievement if Jose does it all though.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
Let's not pretend Man United actually have limited funds. Moyes hasn't got a clue what to do with that amount of money. Mourinho or even any sane manager would have stolen Ozil from right under wengers nose when they realised he was available but here we are looking at the afro that cost more than his buyout clause. Ozil or Fellaini there's no need to compare is there.

Utd went for Ozil. Arsenal offered more money and Wenger spoke to him, done deal. PSG also threw a contract on the table.

Former fairly knowledgeable poster on here about VM matters but massive Arsenal fan. When your team had a blip of success for a few years a decade ago he would post day-in day-out about how (apparently) the balance of power had swung towards North London, how United's best days were confined to the mid 90s etc. His biggest bugbear was Mikael Silvestre, BB hated him. He disappeared from Cable Forum around about the time Silvestre signed for Arsenal so we were unable to rib him for it. It was also the same time Arsenal stopped winning anything. Basically your typical gloryhunter supporter.
Now that Arsenal are getting better results than United he'll probably show his face again

That's even worse then. Moyes should have been kicking down Madrids door but he's just walked away after round one. Any idea why RVP was missing the other day?

The problem is Moyes is displaying the classic signs of being in WAY over his head. He may have done a decent job with a team like Everton but United is much bigger. We needed a manager with a track record of success at the highest level. That is not Moyes.
I'll give him credit for bringing possibly the best of out Rooney right now but is that the player's own doing as to advertise his services for January? It wouldn't shock me.
All the people sticking up for Moyes remind me of that Iraqi minister telling us there were no American tanks in Bagdad.

Re: Football Season 2013/14 & Summer Window
tbh the Fellaini deal was indeed a joke. look around Europe and youll find many decent players better than Fellaini, box to box. Arsenal, Utd and Bayern showed interest in Lars Bender but he wasnt for sale BUT he has a release clause kicking in at the end of this season which is under 15m euros, a bargain. why could Utd wait? if there were players at Everton to be nabbed it was probably Baines, Barkley. How many decent LBs are around?
