Re: Football Season 2012/2013
I cant believe Chelsea lost the final today. I was sure they would win and they even put out a strong team. I wonder why they are so bad at them moment.

Because we couldnt finish and fell asleep defending!

It's strange because the consolation is that Rafa did not get to win a trophy!

They should never have sold him to utd you mean or any other English club for that matter. Apparently the deal juventus were prepared to offer was "only" a few million of utd's but arsenal being the sound businessmen they are had to take that extra cash

Talks have been going on for Walcott since early last season. He has constantly been delaying. Last season he wanted to wait until to see if we were in the Champions League, then it's because he wanted to demand where he plays. He is leaving and trying to get the fans onside by playing this game, he really wants to sign but just can't? Nasri did the exact same thing.
Besides it is his side that haven't come to the table:

Walcott has so far rejected Arsenal's attempt to re-start formal negotiations but talks are expected to resume.

They are prepared to raise his salary from £60,000 a week to £75,000 a week, but the Southampton academy graduate is holding out for closer to £100,000 a week.

It's understood, hack talk for "I'm making this bit up" then blames the player. its understood by me that the club are playing hardball.

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
What are Chelsea actually expecting?
They got that Champions League they wanted but it seems they expect Chelsea to win every trophy on offer every year, something which simply is not possible. Barcelona did it once but even they couldn't repeat it.
The only man that should be in the manager's seat at Chelsea is Jose Mourinho.
Naturally the next Man United manager
I have to agree with Arsenal with regards to Walcott, even if they had the 100k a week to give him, what's Walcott ever done to warrant it?
''Theo Walcott is like a speedboat without a driver''
As for that Benteke, How anyone seen Drogba in him is amazing.
Onto Newcastle, Ben Arfa is out until the new year, Tiote will be off to Africa soon and Cabaye is also lounging around on a physio's bench somewhere, Mike Williamson and Danny Simpson are worse at defending than the Samoan football team, Gabriel Obertan is well.. Obertanish.. and that's about it, so if anyone would like to collect their 3 points early, we're just up the road.

I think you are right about Chelsea expecting to win every trophy possible every single year and its not realistic. Yes its possible as you say Barca have done it and of course in 1999 Man Utd do the treble so only not winning 1 trophy but i dont see ANY club doing the treble for a very long time
Mourinho will no doubt be the next Man Utd manager

Re: Football Season 2012/2013
Wengers not going to change for anyone. Hes hellbent trying to prove his hellbent vision.
Theres no real talks. Theos off. When you pay useless 50k then those offering something will want 100k. Wengers created this. I don't blame players leaving. THEY wanted an extra head or two come in to push us on BUT Wenger hellbent screwed it all. Don't tell me its the going rate because it isn't. Even if he signs it'll be papering over the cracks.
Arsene Wenger needs replacing and new blood needs to be put in the boardroom.
