5.5 Million is a lot of money for a player of his ability especially as it looks like Heinze will only be going for about 1 million more who is a much better player.

We should be due some of that cash and with luck it'll stop the mouthy cow from Big Brother hanging around your training ground

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
Glad he's gone but just worried that means we will still rely on Giggs too much and as i've stated before I don't think he can deliver any more at the level we require. Hopefully these new guys will make the grade and take some of the burden off of Giggs

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
Remember when the Glaziers took over at Utd and all the Arsenal fans came on here to have a good old cockney (well, those who live in London) larf?
Wonder what they'll say about this?
Let's hope their team start winning again so they can come back on here and post.

West Ham are ready to splash £26m on Roma winger Mancini, Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen and Newcastle midfielder Kieron Dyer. (Daily Express)

Re: Close Season Gossip & Rumour Thread
I have read reports in a few places that Man Utd have no back up plan if the Tevez deal does not get resolved in time...but I have just read this...
Quote:
Eidur Gudjohnsen looks poised for a return to English football after being deemed surplus to requirements at Barcelona.
The Icelander, who joined the Catalan club from Chelsea last summer, was spotted house-hunting in the Worsley area of Manchester this week.

Hmmmm, I wonder !!!
Maybe he is off to City

dont think that is the reason there Russ...I think that he just wont be getting a regular 1st team place at Arsenal due to too many better younger fitter players that can play at the same position that Freddie played at
I'm not going to say that arsenal are going to win anything AGAIN this season but hey look at the average age of the squad... with ManU it'll be Scholes, Giggs and some others that are going to retire next season.
