Re: The worst film you've ever seen
In recent times it has to be "Hollywood Homicide" starring Harrison Ford.
No doubt we could probably come up with a top 10 or top 100 worst rated films. It could be considered a public service i.e. stopping people from hiring videos of or watching 'naff-rated' films in the vain hope they are in for a good night's entertainment.

Re: The worst film you've ever seen
Battlefield Earth was a complete stinker - we got it from the video shop just so we could truly appreciate its awfulness
Recently, Freddy vs Jason - lame, lame, lame, lame. Great idea, dog awful film

Re: The worst film you've ever seen
Unbreakable with Bruce Willis & Samuel L Jackson-what could have been a gret film turned out to be a complete waste of time/money.

Re: The worst film you've ever seen
'Contact' - given all that had gone on in the previous 2 hours, the ending was the most totally implausible tripe I have ever seen. It was utterly convoluted and a very lame attempt to illustrate the film's 'faith vs reason' theme. I left the cinema feeling robbed.
And talking about leaving the cinema feeling robbed - I'd like to add:
Fortress ('should I intestinate?' eeeugh!)
All Highlander films bar the original (Hmm, Christopher Lambert theme developing here).
8mm (Tawdry and almost p0rnographic in parts, I left halfway through feeling dirty).

Yes have to agree there, the ending was a complete let down. The only good bit was when the machine explodes, not worth spending the hour or so before it.
Nice Idea badly executed.

Re: The worst film you've ever seen
I see that none of you really appreciate what a bad film is
You want to give this one a go,
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088392/
My DVD collection is replete with "bad" films, but this one really is terrible, so bad that I had to split watching it over two sessions. I had this on a pre-recorded VHS tape that I had been given, it ended up being used as a blank.

Re: The worst film you've ever seen
I think Im the only person, ever, who liked Battlefield Earth
Bad movies though? hmm, Zoolander, couldnt watch more than the first hour because of how boring it is, Ive since heard it gets funnier after that so I might give it another go.
Grease 1&2, If it wasnt for teenaged girls that film would have never been popular
Big Fish, truely terrible film, I think a mugging would have been less painful and more enjoyable.
Love actually I also found pretty awful.
And thats just the tip of the iceberg really, there are a lot more but I cant think of any right now (Probably mentally blocked them becuase they are so awful)

Sphere and the Royal Tenenbaums for me.
People rave on about the Royal Tenenbaums being sooo funny, but I failed to spot a funny moment in it.
