Re: Getting people to use my site!

With regard to Adsense I would be very mindful of the ads that are displayed, you don't want forum members clicking on a 'dodgy' ad like 'drive cleaner' or 'winfixer' and have the possiblilty of getting infected. Just my 2 pennies worth

Re: Getting people to use my site!

I have Adsense on loonyasylum.net and never see such Ads, all the Ads I get are relevant to the contents of the page.

Re: Getting people to use my site!

Don't know too much about all this, but have you added Google site maps ?

I think it takes alot of time, but should help the googleb bots. But as has been said before, content is often the best way to get people visiting

Re: Getting people to use my site!

hi
to get visitors links are important what you put in you title tags is as well.
meta tags can be useful but modern crawlers dont tend to pay too much attention to them although still good to use em.

and like as been said before good content, when google visits your site it scans the body of your page so make sure that in your document there are words you would use to search t'internet relevant to your subject.

and obviously submit to all the search engines ya can also add your self to dmoz.org

you might not notice a difference straight away, google send its bot out about once a month so could take upto a month for changes to take effect.

i just looked at your source, at the top section.
in your title tag i would add to what you've already got plus more keywords about your site

and pad your meta keywords out (won't hurt)

godda go little un is playing me up lol

Re: Getting people to use my site!

Right, I think you should have a major rethink. Giving out news using a forum is not the way to go...there are plenty of good forums out there that are going to do it better than yours...thats a fact.

What i think you should do is start a way of giving out news each day via a.......wait for it......a blog !

Def the way to go !
