My 14y son wants an Xbox 360 with all the trimmings (including an extra controller). Can anyone advise on a good place to buy? I'd like some sort of guarantee, too.
The best that I can come up with is Tesco...

The price of the Xbox 360 seems to be static at the moment. I got mine from Comet Online but if i was to buy it again i'd get it from a shop where i could walk in and buy it, incase it ever developed a fault as this would make getting it replaced for a new unit alot easier.
THIS might come in handy. Just make sure you buy the PREMIUM pack and not the CORE as there's a big difference.
Also a standard quick charge battery charger and 4 fast rechargable cells will come in handy as i wouldn't bother with the 'charge and play kit' as this requires a wire to the xbox which kind of makes the wireless controllers pointless then.
He might also need a 12month gold Xbox live subscription. Also an Xbox Live Starter Kit with game is the same as an XBL Gold subscription and will work.

Thanks for the advice, SnoopZ. I thought your link was great, but my son wasn't too impressed - especially when he saw John Lewis at the top of the list.
He's subsequently made a purchase through E-bay. Something to do with teenage street-cred, I suppose.

Went into HMV Ghost Recon Warfighter Xbox360 14.99. Had the misfortune to buy it last week for 29.99. Get it quickly B4 they all go. This price not on their website.

The ebay-purchased 360 died last week. My son is organising a UPS courier to get the box to Portsmouth.
Hopefully they'll sort things out with a minimum of fuss.
