i have sorted it now thank you all
but i have 1 more thing i have to switch it off as i have to move it into a bedroom will i have problems setting it up again as im worried that it will not connect again

If everything is working fine now, you should be ok. Remember though, with everything turned off, you need to turn them all back on in the following sequence......

Turn on the modem, and let everything settle, about a minute should be ok.

Then turn the router on, again for about a minute to let things settle.

Lastly turn on the pc, everything should be fine then.
