If you have a dv camcorder you can just use that as a bypass device, it will strip the macrovision give a crystal clear picture and the sound isnt too bad either.

There is some stuff on Teleport which isn't copy protected and lets you record from Teleport Replay BBC stuff, Living tv & Bravo

Depends on your setup. but mine was done using audio/video leads from the telewest box into camcorder, then the usb lead from camcorder to dvd
