Just to let you guys know, that NTL phoned from the escalation dept. The lady agrees that NTL in fact owe me money and she is now in the process of sorting out a credit for me.
It turned out that our previous internet connection still hadn't been cancelled even on the second try, but hopefully it will be after today. Fingers crossed.
Can't believe it's nearly sorted. A big thank you to everyone who took the time to reply and gave me advice. Much appreciated.
And a special big big thank you to Chris W who intervened and was instrumental in the speeding up and getting the whole sorry saga sorted out for me. I'm feeling less stressed already. You'll be rewarded in heaven.
