fair enough I suppose

I think I would fair in saying that most people in the UK and Ireland (disregarding which borders are where and merely descibing the two land masses) are sick of the dispute

what concerns me most is that each side appears to be driven by a hatred over the other side by way of a sort of mantra

eg your comments about 'us lot' seeming to mean that all people in Britain think the same way 'brits out' etc

also the depressing spectacle of a baby on the news with a bib on with "born to walk the garvaghy road" emblasoned on it

you're right there

the 'stern gang' had plans to start a major bombing campaign in London in the late 40's early fifties to "beat the dog in it's own kennel" as they put it in an attempt to remove the british presence from the then palestine

As one who has had friends and family murdered by the provisionals, I find the peace process, prisoner releases etc very hard to stomach, but if its what needs to be done to stop anyone else being killed....then so be it.

Nothing any of us can say can come close to what you've been through. I think it's very telling indeed that even after all that, you're willing to give it a go. Surely no-one else could say otherwise.
