Re: Whats going on

Its fun for owners of Plasma screens - a blob of screen burn in the top corner. And I, like many others, find it one of *the* most stupid and annoying 'features' of TV these days. 95% of the time I turn off any program that it appears on.

Re: Whats going on

Graham,

You have to live with it because the big tv companies are not going to remove them. So find something else to rant and rave about. Or even better, sell your TV and don't bother watching TV at all.

By the way, if you are thinking of changing provider, you may find it's worse elsewhere. On my Freeview box there doesn't appear to be anyway to get rid of the prompt at all, apart from turning subtitles on. It doesn't even vanish after a time.

Re: Whats going on

Looking at this much more NTL have a duty to have a facility to turn these off.
The red dot/ press red/ interactive feature could be termed as spam a unwanted feature.
If you get the press red at the beginning of a programme fair enough but to have it every 5 to 10 minutes during the programme is wrong. i shouldnt have to constantly press the back button or anyother button once i have done this once at the beginning of the programme.

I plan to take this further and also claim from NTL conpensation for lack of enjoyment due to the red button feature.

I have said this before.

NTL could give it away free and some would still ask for compensation.

That's just showing how low you can go. I find your post totally offensive. To use that as a way to get at NTL is WELL BELOW THE BELT

Any thing else you want to complain about.

Bet you want compo for that as well

And just what the hell as this got to do with your problem? I am beginning to see this more as a typical unconstructive 'rant' thread - Thus this thread is now closed.
