Re: Ethernet Problems

Just ordered myself a router.

Is this one ok?

I only use ethernet to connect my PCs so I'm hoping that'll be fine.

Re: Ethernet Problems

Yes - you can even plug your printer into it to share the printer without having another PC switched on.

Re: Ethernet Problems

When you get it you turn off everything, plug the cable modem into the port on the router titled Internet, WAN or something like that (usually on its ownsome). Plug all your PCs ethernet ports into the ones entitled 1,2,3,4 or something like that, then power up the CM, wait for the sync light, then the router, wait for the power or rdy light or something like that to stop flickering and then the PCs and job done.

Re: Ethernet Problems

Ok, I have everything working fine now.

Just one thing...
How do I get the printer set up in the network???

I've plugged it into the USB port but my computers don't find it.
