I think i am correct here, Homechoice are only at present in London. For Sky to roll this they will have a LOT and i mean LOT of kit to install. It will not be a overnight thing.

It will also be a wake up call for Sky. What do i mean by that ? Welcome to a network of equipment instead of a small amount in 1 headend . A World where customers are phoning in because they lost there movie in the middle of the show because a local connection went down. needing Engineers in all parts of the country and their wages as well. In other words welcome to the world of cable .

34000 customers out of a potential 2400000 (1.4% penetration), financially thats gotta hurt.

I will have a look at this later and post my view's, if ntl have less tv customer's that isnt necessarily a bad thing. Profit is a more important figure then customer size.

True 'turnover is vanity, profit is sanity'

However this is a volume market, not niche, share is critical.
Cable area is finite and a 'lost' customer will not return.
The important three play is then gone with all its profit associations

ntl already have the volume I dont understand why they continously playing aggressive to get more (other then high rate of cancellations), sky recognise future growth in their profit's is unlikely to come from new customer's but instead more £ per customer.
