Re: Ring motion detector distance
I’m currently using a WiFi connection the delays are minimal, easily less than a second at worst. I don’t see what the problem is.

I have 2 Blink cameras - one in the back garden, covering the back door and side fence gate, and one between the front door and garage covering the front drive and cars, both saving to a USB stick in the Sync Module (auto-deleting after 30 days), with a response time of 1-2 seconds.
That works for us.

Re: Ring motion detector distance
I’ve no doubt they do work, otherwise they wouldn’t sell them. My issue was they didn’t work to the operating standard I wanted. They were nothing more than ‘passable’ (if being generous). I personally found the quality of the product to be wanting in terms of features, clarity and ease of use /accessibility. If they work for you, that’s great. You asked for opinions, I gave mine. Doesn’t mean it’s the same as anyone else’s. I find the UniFi products to be far superior in every way, but I also recognise they cost a lot more. It totally depends on your needs and acceptable standards. I’m obviously more… particular! lol

Re: Ring motion detector distance
In fairness I wasn’t asking who thinks which model are more efficient.
I asked about the motion sensor range.
