I last listenend to Chicago 17 on cassette.....
I tell ya this release I got from KOREA sounds 100% better than the US release on cassette.....
The US release has DOBLY HX PRO and DOLBY B and sounds crappy....... This Korea one HAS NO DOLBY AT ALL and sounds goregous!!!
I tell ya,filters just make stuff worse....... Seems like everyone but the US knew that! (Thats not a surprise though)

Personally I've always found versions of Dolby make things sound better. Especially when using good speakers or decent headphones. But I know you seem to hate modern technology. Dolby Atmos is currently one of the best options for sound on movies and such. Fully immersive sound.
