If we are too skint to properly fund the NHS then we are too skint to give aid to anyone.

We're still a relatively rich country in terms of GDP - 23rd out of 184 countries according to this list. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...al)_per_capita

India is 138th reflecting that a large proportion of its population live in slums - whilst the rest seem to be affluent. It's to their shame that they are wasting money on rockets instead of fixing their own society.

India isn't a priority but we can be proud we do donate to others. The amount is minute - 0.7% of national income - so those asking for it to be cut - it would make diddly squat difference to our budget. That money means a lot to others if targeted at the right areas.

But it would make a world of difference to a couple of OAP's freezing to death, sat on their sofa in their own front room cause they can't afford to put the heating on.

Tbh I'd rather not pay for either out of my taxes, why the hell are we subsidising energy company profits.

Why are we subsidizing Terrorists out of our taxes. I don't beleave for one second that the Pakistani Government are not in league with the Taliban in some way. If i had my way we would have cut them off years ago.

Yes I think so but most is spent on administration

So, Why do we actually give any money to India or any other country as aid at all,? None of it helps. !!!!!!! Live aid 1 and 2 didn`t make any kind of a change to their lives.!

because taking on the actual problem head on pee's people off and this make do act does a temp job while time is brought to actually get to the issue(s).
