Re: Clutch pedal on car has no resistance
Incidentally whilst driving on the M25 I saw a police car parked on the bank, not the hard shoulder but the bank, in the pitch black, at 6am in the morning. Seemed a bit early, and inefficient, to do a speed trap there. I thought they did them on bridges and had a car near the exits to pull people over. Although I guess it's easier for them to chase if they're next to the road. Just never seen it before. Unless they weren't speed checking but can't think that else they would be doing.

was it close any service area ? if so he may well have been waiting for a suspect truck ,he would escort them into a service area or other suitable layby just off the motorway for VOSA to go to town on .
Since VOSA became self funding they now work 24-7 instead of 9-5 .I watched a Transit Luton get parked up for being overweight on saturday about 7am as i was sitting in Trowel services on the M1

May well have been the reason then ,1-2 miles is usually the limit .Of course he could just have been enjoying a bit of shut eye before shift change

I'd guess it might be an ANPR car.

Re: Clutch pedal on car has no resistance
According to local radio I heard VOSA were doing safety checks in the area following a tip-off of a guy driving a car with a highly suspect clutch...
