Not on my V+ you can't, i find all these numbers a pain in the ass lol.
If it is a Tivo thing, is it possible to upgrade to a Tivo without getting a new 12 month contract?

Ah yes on that it is a much longer Home > TV Guide > HD process haha. Well I didn't enter a 12 month contract for 2nd TiVo, can't remember for the first one. If you are you're only locked in for the TV part

Re: Suggestion for HD (Poll)
OR
If you are connected to a HD TV (or set option) then the SD channels will route the HD version behind the scenes so the channel numbers can become "virtual".

Wouldn't it have been logical if HD channels was a 4 digit number keeping the original 3 digits intact. ('1'+'[channel number]');
e.g. BBC One HD would be 1101
MTV HD would be 1134
Film 4 HD would be 1429
and so on...
Alternatively, 0 could be used in replacement of 1 so 0101 etc.
This would also mean:
- Freeing up space in the EPG for other channels
- Allowing easy transition of everything to HD when equipment allows (just swap them around)
Let me know what you think :-)

Here is my own idea:
Move all HD Channels from Entertainment and move to Channel 201 and renumber Entertainment.
Like this:
201. BBC One HD
202. BBC Two HD
203. ITV HD
204. Channel 4 HD
205. Channel 5 HD
206. BBC Three HD
207. BBC Four HD
210. Sky1 HD
211. Sky Living HD
213. ITV2 HD
214. ITV3 HD
215. ITV4 HD
216. Watch HD
218. Dave HD
219. Alibi HD
221. Comedy Central HD
222. MTV HD
223. SyFy HD
225. E4 HD
227. FOX HD
228. TLC HD
Move to Factual to after Music or Sports.

Re: Suggestion for HD (Poll)
The debate doesn't or shouldn't need to be about 3 digits, 4 digits and where the numbers fall but writing code that provides for far greater user control of "My Favourites". An improved USER INTERFACE.
My dream is for settings that provide the ability for the user to prioritise My Favourites, not dissimilar to Series links: e.g. if I move
BBC ONE HD (108) to the top of the list, it now becomes No.1
BBC TWO HD (187) to the next position No.2
when My Favourites is selected, pressing one button on the remote will take me where I want to be.
My ten year old, almost obsolete DVD player gives me this control but my high end TiVo means I've got a three button press to just get an unorganised list of favourite channels chosen and you know the TiVo's going to forget this choice pretty soon.

Re: Suggestion for HD (Poll)
Am fine with favourites it works for me and the current channel launches suggest VM are in no hurry to change the channel numbering...
