Depends whether it's a fully automatic baseball bat.

Low/no gun ownership = High crime rates

Don't really see how the comparison with the rest of Europe helps your point as most of Europe has similar gun laws to us. It's also worth remembering that the yearly number of killings (with any weapon, including guns) in this country is a fraction of the number of yearly gun deaths in the US. I have worked out the exact figures on a post somewhere but can't find it at the moment. Suffice it to say, even though the US only has four times our population, the number of gun deaths in the US is considerably more than 4 times the total number of killings in the UK.

The USa has a 20 year low on crimes, from the latest FBI statistics (web site) across the board, as fire arm ownership has grown rapidly over the last few years & that what the US mainstream (bought & paid for by leftist lobbyist movement) will never report on it as it will kill their leftist pro-Abama agenda in the water.. cold hard facts don't lie, the anti gun lobby does every single time, as they can't never back their claims up with hard proof...just lies from the left.
|
Again, not really a good comparison. Ignoring all the conspiracy crap, the gun laws have not really changed in the US much (beyond Bill Clinton actually tightening the regulation a little) in the last 20 years.

Support your NRA if you know what best for all of us...you see there ad about obama children; they are protected with armed guards in their school, when the same person that wants to take away the rest of US protection everywhere else.....like wanting his cake & eat it.... idiot thoughts of silly man on a power rush.
|
If you know what's best for all of us, you wouldn't support the NRA. More guns is not a good thing, and despite what they say, I really don't think the general public needs access to military spec assault rifles.
Also, has it occured to you that the reason the President's family needs protection (and they do, as they are a far more likely target than most of the population) is that silly organisations like the NRA cite the second amendment and seem to spend their time telling people increased gun ownership and decreased gun regulation is a good thing?

Re: The NRA blames video games for violence..
Well, I looked up the FBI site, and found this....
FBI Expanded Homicide figures
Out of 12,996 homicides in 2010, 8,775 were by guns, and 540 were by blunt instruments (clubs, hammers, etc) - not sure how that correlates with your statement that it showed

Well hammers & baseball bat killed more people in USA than fire arms.. matt look up the figure in the FBI web site, crime figures > then you'll see fire arm are 11th in cause of deaths

And this why there needs to be registration and training in the use of firearms...
