I wondered about that after I'd posted. So are only Samsung V+ boxes given out now?

But aren't there still a lot of SD non PVR boxes out there? Is it possible in the future to run MP4 alongside mp2 for different STB vM boxes out there?

There will be some, but adding more non MP4 capable boxes won't help progress to mp4. If they are only handing out Samsung V+ boxes, then it isn't a problem.

Like with analogue cable, when in the future would VM say we will only support potential mpeg4 boxes and all other boxes would be made useless, remember at the end of the day we only rent these boxes!
