But truth is he probably just stood there while an engineer installed it and all he did is screw the coax cable into the back and plugged it into power socket.. Somehow can't imagine Martin kemp yielding a hammer drill, while kneeling on the floor in a suit drilling trough a brick wall then stripping coax cable ends and fitting connectors.. Unless it was an upgrade of course lol
In which case.. Wonder how he would of got on if vm were still running their move v+ box for free offer... No idea if that's still running or not, and homeowner said they wanted box moved upstairs.. He woulda been up a ladder then clipping cable to the walls in a suit! Now that's a photo for the press.. Lol Brick dust covering his expensive suit... Then he really could if said he installed it personally.

weather they warned that he was coming, whether he got a skelf in his finger

Re: VM:TiVo hits 1,000,000
Well wether its made up of Swap-outs, Up sells or brandnew customers that's a great mile stone for VM to have hit.
I believe the first beta testers had TiVo in October 2009 frist retail customers February/March 2010 so that's not bad for 29 months.
I believe its not as good as Sky's 2.5 million HD boxes in homes within 12 months of launch but still very very good.

Happy to be corrected, but I think it was 2011? I got one of the first when they were first available generally only to current VM customers in April .

Did you mean Sky+ as that's the comparison. VM have had other HD boxes available before Tivo.

Yes, but not 2009. The deal wasn't even signed until the end of 2009.

Some trialists, mainly VM employes, had them in December 2010. But the point is, your post comparing Sky's box launch was inaccurate by a whole year.

Indeed. I was just thinking, last night in bed, that there was something wrong with that formula

Carl I am shocked that I did not spring to mind As I have both m/c`s
As stated before I am glad its working for them. Its a great m/c despite some of the over the top hype. Go in with eyes open and you should be happy. Long since learn`t to ignore any adverts ( see Panorama last episode !)
