Re: Lincoln Speed Probs
It's a hell of a coincidence that we have both got the same problem. What's your postcode?

Re: Lincoln Speed Probs
Mine were fine but they arent now. I lost my connection 20:30 last night and a modem reset fixed it. I didnt think anything of it until your post earlier and i have changed channels and my power levels are screwed as well.

Re: Lincoln Speed Probs
Yeah, whatever you do dont let him take it. He'll give you bs and tell you that the call us booked as a swap over for a modem fault and tell you that you need a shub if you want 100mbit. I have been on 100mbit since it first came to us in November and have never had any probs getting full speed up or down

Re: Lincoln Speed Probs
I am happy, just downloaded some stuff from newsgroups and it is holding steady at 12400k/sec and uploaded some stuff on torrents and getting over 1mb/sec so all is still good.
Just checked power levels and downstream is at 3 now and upstream has come down to 52 which is good

Re: Lincoln Speed Probs
the best thing to do is to check the modem config first to make sure you have actually received the upgrade and then do the speed tests to see if you can get the speed

Re: Lincoln Speed Probs
Time to moan your ass off, that is just **** poor customer service. They should be able to see why or why not the engineer hasnt come and hopefully look at his job list for the day and see what is going on and defo be able to ring him. If they trll you tomorrow morning that the call was cancelled because the fault was attributed to maintenance work going on in the area tell them it is rubbish and it isnt intermittent connection loss, it is to do wiyh the signal going to the modem and it needs looking at regardless

Re: Lincoln Speed Probs
M8 the guys English was very poor I told him I had a engineer booked and he didn't show up he just kept saying so the engineer has been I tried all ways to try and explain but he didn't get it,then he said he booked me in for a engineer to come between 8am-12pm then he put me on hold for 25 mins after telling me he be 2 mins then said he was trying to put me to UK tech call centre put me on hold again for 10 more mins came back said he couldn't get hold of them so asked me to confirm my home number and then said as soon as he got them he promised to call me back not heard anything no idea why the engineer never turned up no idea if I got a tech coming tomorrow so its just a mess for a simple fix my upstream is 58 and downstream is - 6.78 across the channels so how its still connected I no idea just its rubbish for web pages just timeout .
