No extra content its just sky customers have an option to view an extra red button feed online. I'm Sure there make loads more next season so all Champions League Red button games can be viewed online.
If your not happy move to sky or do what I didn't find a family member or friend that has sky sports that wont ever use Sky Go and get there account number then you can sign up and use

There is extra content.
Here:
Fri 18 Hurricanes v Brumbies (watch online) Sky Sports Xtra 8.35am Super Ru
^ This game tomorrow is available for sky custmers (online via sky go). But not for Virgin Media customers. Because we don't have access to sky go.
It is not on the red button.
I wouldn't swap my entrie package to sky because of this. But it is just another example of how we pay for sky sports but don't get the full sky sports content.

I've phoned up Ofcom before about this. They said they do not deal with this type of issue.
I was speechless.

Re: Sky sports Extra
Do we even have the red button?? I thought we were still waiting for it? What's actually on the red button? Do we get any interactive stuff like fanzone etc or nothing like that?

Yes red button came in about 10 months ago. Lots of things like live tennis and rugby 7s on it. which is good.
shame they just moved additional extra conetnt to web only just to spite Virgin media.

Re: Sky sports Extra
Just the 2 super rugby matches unavailable to Virgin Media subscribers this weekend:
Fri 25 Chiefs v Bulls (watch online) Sky Sports Xtra 8.35am Super Rugby
Sat 26 Sharks v Stormers(watch online) Sky Sports Xtra 6.10pm Super Rugby
Not amused.

Re: Sky sports Extra
Hi there,
I added the sky sports package yesterday and to my dismay realised that I won't be able to watch the Stormers later today as it's on Extra...NOT impressed!!!

I read this in earlier forum thread
sky sports extra "is available for sky custmers (online via sky go). But not for Virgin Media customers. Because we don't have access to sky go.
It is not on the red button"

Its just another example of Sky abusing its dominant position and of course this is not the first time this has happened l am afraid to say.

Strange, I would say it is Sky giving extra to their customers..tomato, tomato?
Is it right that virgin don't open up their infrastructure to broadband to all?

So Sky give VM most of its channels, its red button services, it Anytime ondemand content. Why won't VM open up its Cable-network to Sky? So Sky could resell the 100Mb BB?
Its just to one sided around here you either have to hate Sky or you're seen as some kind of rose tinted sky loving fanboy. Personally since moving to Sky I'm very happy; but I wouldn't slag of Virginmedia as I'm really not interested in what they do or don't do.
If you want Sky extra join Sky you never see a Sky customer moaning about VM or the fact they won't let anyone resell thier broadband services.
