It would cost me about £20 pw if I caught the bus & I pay about £25 pw in fuel & now the parking levy. I would love to get the bus but the journey would take about 90 mins & the earliest it would get me to within a mile of my work place is half 7, yet I start at 6  & i wouldn't be able to work on a Saturday either, why should the workforce have to pay to park at their place of work l if the company they work for owns the land

It's a bargain compared to the £40-£60 that people without free workplace parking pay per week, was actually the comparator I was referring to....
I think you will find that very few companies with city centre sites actually offer free parking - most of my friends who work (and drive into) Leeds City Centre who have 'company' parking pay between £10 and £20 per week for this.
