Considering TiVo should have BBC Red Button extremely soon (expected by end of this quarter), I don't think that will be an issue

Nothing confirmed, although in the Sky F1 announcement it was said that:

Sky is working to develop interactive services for Sky Sports F1TM viewers on the Virgin Media platform
|
So as I'd expect that to include TiVo (as would be stupid not to do so), I'm sure the rest is also being worked on

Re: Virgin to stop giving out V+ HD Boxes.
With the fee going up to £5 the migration for quite a few would have to have been forced rather than voluntary.

If you are on M+ or L then you paid £5 for V+HD anyway. I'm guessing once reminders and red button are on TiVo, then possibly the V-HD will get the TiVo treatment?

Sorry Ben but how long have we been hearing this.
I will favor my V+ over my Tivo for 3 reasons
1) No BBC Red button.
2) No reminders.
3) It costs ( under normal circumstances ) less.
Tivo extras TO ME are next to pointless. Emperors new clothes comes to mind.

To be fair, Virgin have said it will be by the end of this quarter for Red Button. All other dates have been "coming soon"

I hope you correct. Me having been with Cable from the day in came into my road, I will believe it when I see it. Wish I could find the letter saying I had free internet for life - not kidding - OK it was dial up !!
