Re: Netflix OMG OMG OMG OMG
Netflix is ok and the HD streaming is excellent however I agree with James can't see it replacing my Sky Movies sub just yet.

I would agree with that Lovefilm PQ is terrible.

Re: Netflix OMG OMG OMG OMG
I have to say that I think Netflix on the PS3 is excellent. The streaming quality is brilliant and the audio on our surround sound is great. It is on par with the quality from a Sky Movies channel in my opinion.
For a service that is brand new to the UK I think it is off to a great start. The only thing lacking perhaps is a bit more content but this will come with time.
For those who don't want to pay big subscriptions to Sky or Virgin, £5.99 a month for Netflix is excellent value.

If you read under 'Why Tivo' you will see that some cable companies around the world are providing Netflix and Blockbuster on Tivo so it's not impossible. I think it is a competition issue with Filmflex,Picturebox and Sky Anytime to be honest.

Fully agree. Sky movies is too expensive in my view. With netflix and blueray rentals from lovefilm, it's still around 10 p/m cheaper than than HD/5.1 Sky movies.

Most pointless reply of 2012? But thanks for taking the time to post it anyway Stephen. I'm sure the Cableforum community appreciate it.
Keep up the quantity as you obviously aren't interested in the quality.

Re: Netflix OMG OMG OMG OMG
I can't see why netflix wouldn't want to be on Tivo, and I can't see why Virgin wouldn't want it there. So I'm beginning to wonder whether the deals they have with other on demand providers are preventing it?
Even i, as Tivo's greatest defender, am a little disappointed at the apps Virgin are making available on it. I player is excellent, despite it it'ss problems, you tube is rubbish, because of it's problems, the rest just take up space.
