I don't, I just get an error message saying something along the line of administrative privileges are needed to perform the requested action with just an okay or cancel button (Can't rightly remember) I get this even if I check the run as administrator option.

As to the OP, I cant believe the nerve of these scammers even trying this in the first place. Especially the cheek to call you back and give you abuse when you caught them out.

Re: Beware checkmypconline.com SCAM

I`ve had at least a dozen people with Pakistani accents `phone me up recently and ask me if i was `Scott Theobold` the first time i said No and they then asked if i was the owner of the telephone line, which is when i cottoned on to what was going on and swore at them and hung up!

Re: Beware checkmypconline.com SCAM

I strung one of these callers along for nearly an hour once before we got to the £79 fee for them to "fix" my computer. I then told him I was bankrupt and didn't have a bank account or credit card to give him. His response? "Does your wife have a card?"

Re: Beware checkmypconline.com SCAM

I just had my first call, didn't catch the name (couldn't really understand him) but court the words computer and windows, so I just said I don't have a computer.

Then he said a laptop I so no, that took him back. He ended by saying: erm ok thank you.

So hopefully that is the phone number off the list.
I wasn't in the mood to play around.
