Lots, in this country there's the A+, city and guild, nvq or individual system certification routes..
It was a valid question unless the route involves a correspondence course from Computer Repairs 'R' us

I don't have any certification as I'm never sure I'd pass such a course, but I must say in light of some posts in this thread I feel a whole lot more confident now

I've never bothering entering for any, they are pretty meaningless if you can back yourself up with experience in the real world. So many certified people know nothing but blagged an exam.
