There was an increase to the xl package about 12 months ago, the April 11 increase, vat increase and they did away with the discount for paperless billing in nov, can't remember the last one but I am almost sure there was another. I would point out I am on the xl tv package without phone or broadband and pay a supplement for that.

Just checked my payment record, it's increased from £25.94 in Jan 10 to £30.50 in May 11, that's over £4.50 in 16 months.
Jan 10 - 25.94
Feb 10 - 26.50
May 10 - 28.00
Nov 10 - 29.00
Feb 11 - 29.50
May 11 - 30.50
Could be time to say goodbye, I must have watched about 8 hours in the last week.

I think two of those were Vat increases. Two were annual increases and one was the removal of the paperless billing discount. VM have increased your bill once in the last year. Having said that I doubt I would pay over £30 for eight hours viewing.

Fair point, but I did say just over 12 months. It's still an increase of over 17% over 16 months what ever way you want to break it down.

Then how are they going to migrate every customer over to the tivo box as Cindy Rose says.

Like ahardie has said a free box will have to be an option or they have no chance , how many lower pack customers do you expect will pay £8.00 a month , I would guess not that many.

Yes l have had at least 4 price rises on my Virgin bill in the last year and the last one was when l got a tivo because as well as the tivo fee my bill increased by another fiver.

And when l said Virgin,s bills have risen relentlessly in the last year some forum members disputed this well maybe they do not look at their bills enough and compare them month by month and over the year.

That wasn't a price rise, that was voluntary price change because you ordered TiVo

But my bill should have gone 3.00 not the 8.00 that was applied.

Depends on what price you were on before. It would only have gone up by another fiver' if the bundle deal was changed at the same time as TiVo - but again was prompted by the install of TiVo.
So still not a price rise

Thats why l am looking to go on the vip bundle but l need someone to look on the billing section of this forum where they can compare my last 2 bills and tell me if l am going to save money by going on to a vip bundle package.

Basically you need Albert Einstein to work out whether your being charged right. Why they can't just have your bill at the advertised prices its beyond me.

The plan is to do exactly that. Bill the services the same as they as advertised on the website.
Anyone who has had a contract recently will already see this

Apologies Ben , that is a very good move from VM then , I'm not saying the CS are bad in fact my experience is quite the opposite , most of my issues have been dealt with however billing can seem confusing.
