It has not been cracked, This is a way round the new encryption and they are traceable through what they are doing and this is why they are getting caught more now

I think that this is correct and maybe one of the VM staff members can sure this claim up

I think these convictions relate to pre Nagra 3 days. I think the only dishonest way now is card sharing which, as you rightly say, is easier to trace. It's also riskier for the thieves to fork out their dodgey cash as servers can be pulled down at anytime.

i do not endorse doing this and not to put a dampner on things but how many people do this, and they have convicted 2 people plz, there are thousands of people doing this. maybe if sky or virgin wasnt so expensive there wouldnt be so many people doing it

Companies are entitled to decide what product to sell and how much to sell it for. Customers are entitled to decide whether they want it and whether they can afford it. They are not entitled to steal it if they disagree with the price.
