I just had a look at that. It's a lovely idea, a sheltered home where everyone has a job to do according to their abilities. We could do with more of the same.

Re: Fake AV masquerading as Java Update

java does seem to be a new target, I did a routine scan few weeks back after not doing one for a while and I found about 10 or so viruses java based in my firefox temp directory, none of them managed to deliver a payload but these were certianly trying to infect me via java. They all were via firefox also, none on IE.

Re: Fake AV masquerading as Java Update

There seems to be one linked to this at the moment doing the rounds where by it will take over your wallpaper and say that your family, boss, and colleagues are in danger and tell you that you have billions of viruses and it will stop you running programs.
From what I've found it is profile specific so backing up and then deleting that user profile seems to sort it.
You then need to tackle the spyware/viruses using malwarebytes to see if it infected anything else.
