Both the moon AND the astronaut ARE effected by gravity - just to a different degree. You could start by reading the thread and paying attention to post 11 for example.

Personally I think you are just on a wind up.

Post does not belong in Current Affairs so moved to Science and Technology, though I was tempted to move it to humour

I'll tell you how I learned about gravity.... by choosing to study Physics as a GCSE, and later reading numerous books by learned and intelligent men who try to bring enlightenment to the ignorant....

As a starter for 10 I'll link some sites that explain gravity below, starting with the ever popular (but occasionally incorrect Wikipedia)....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravity

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History...ational_theory

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newton%...al_gravitation

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equivalence_principle

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Introdu...ral_relativity

http://www.howstuffworks.com/question232.htm

http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr161/l...ewtongrav.html

http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/grav.html

There are many more sites online that can explain Gravity, but happy reading with the list above.

Gravity does not reach out that far so it must be something else, Griff!! You are not taking that from me!
Get a Grip Griff.
How does gravity work?

Because the moon has enough mass to show an attraction towards the earth, a person(even in a spacesuit) only has a very small percentage of mass compared to the moon.

Your all are a bit stupid, if everything falls at the same speed, then size an wieight does not come in to it.

So how can the moon be effected by gravity and not the astronaut?

you can all throw links at me but none explain this!

Then I suggest that your either

a) Can't be bothered to read the info that has been linked to.

b) Are too stubborn to accept what your being told

c) Lack the mental capacity to comprehend the information

things fall at the same speed, so that makes no sense! the astronaut is closer so should be effected more, but its only floating as theres no gravity away from the earth!
