Sure his ways of advertising and making money can be argued with but being a regular flyer on ryanair I can assure you the planes are just as good as any other. In fact the majority of it's 737-800 fleet are approximately 2-6 years old. BMIBaby and indeed many national carriers have planes that are over 10 years old.
The planes need to meet the same requirements as all other aircraft operating in the UK and europe.
If you book early you can get some really good deals.
I agree you shouldnt be charged for certain services (eg. £5 credit card fee) but the flights on the planes themselves are good.
The plane that skidded on the ice could have been any plane.
