Re: Useful Firefox extensions

A few more:

Bookmark Duplicate Detector: Detects Duplicate Bookmarks when bookmarks are added and specify where is the previous URL.* You can also search and delete duplicates URL already in your Bookmarks.
* Not sure about that first bit in Firefox 3.

Statusbar Clock: Display the date and time in your browser's status bar. Or just the date, or just the time, or maybe a cheerful message to brighten someone's day. It's quite customizable.
Firefox: 2.0 – 2.0.0.* [works fine in Firefox 3 if you overide version checking]

TagSifter: Firefox 3 lets you tag your bookmarks, but it doesn't give you a great way to browse your bookmarks by their tags. TagSifter tries to.
Firefox: 3.0 – 3.0.*

Update Bookmark: Allows bookmark properties to be set to the current page's properties or to clipboard text quickly via the context menu.
Firefox: 3.0b1 – 3.1a1pre

I was about to mention Foxmarks since Google browser syc is not compatible with FireFox 3.

The only issue is that is takes a couple of seconds to sync on opening the browser before you can use it. Unless that's something I've done wrong??

Re: Useful Firefox extensions

I love add-ons. Here are a couple that I find useful.

FaviconizeTab I always seem to have too many tabs open and this reduces their size down to the size of their icon.

Tab X When the tabs are reduced in size this add on makes the close button visible.

Re: Useful Firefox extensions

Objection is another good one, it allows you to clear out flash cookies (also known as LSO's) which normal cookie deleting won't clear.

Re: Useful Firefox extensions

Googlepreview brings a nice touch to your Google search engine as it displays a thumbnail of the page next to each search result and i find no speed impact.

Re: Useful Firefox extensions

Gspace is one of my favourites. Allows you to use (multiple) GMail accounts as online backup space. It'll even allow you to upload files >10MB.
