think the Philips has sensed the activity on scart and switched its self on - this in turn has activated the scart to TV and switched your channel over

either make sure the Philips is switched on before you use V+ record menu or
de-activate the philips setting for active-on-scart

Re: Virgin V+Box

Is there anyone that has been successful in transferring a recorded programme to a DVD through a DVD Recorder. I can Record direct from the TV no problem and I can go through the menu to the point where I transfer a recorded to the to the copy side. This is when the problems start I do as the window says put in Pin No = Done then I get totally confused it says turn on DVD press Record button and then press the yellow button which I do but evertime I get a recording of what is on the TV at the time I am sure its something to do with the sequance of the buttons on the remote I can tell you its very frustrating when it doesnt work I welcome any help thanks BoB

Re: Virgin V+Box

Yes I am sure the Scart Leads are in the correct position as I have spoke to a adviser at Virgin about the problem but he totally confused me and it was not resolved. I am sure its to do with the way I press the various buttons I seem to get so far and when I get to the point when it says copy to DVD and I have to switch the Recorder on and then press the record button it only records the chosen channel not the saved recording thanks BoB

Re: Virgin V+Box

Make sure that the recorder is already "on". Then you only meed to hit "record" when you want to capture the output of the box - i.e. once it starts streaming the chosen output.

Also make sure that the DVD recorder is set to record from AV-2 (or whatever the appropriate SCART is).
