Guys, I need help with this too, but my problem is the opposite. I WANT everything to open in a new window and I can't get it to do that. I have my folder options set to "Open each folder in a new window" checked, but it just keeps opening in the same window. I have a new system running Vista 64. Any ideas???

and... i have just tried that in Widows Vista and it does the same for me too. Its set to open in new window but doesnt
