Anyone who says anything bad about Virgin so far are Torking Bollicks frankly because Virgin have only had their name hung above the fireplace for a couple of weeks and it will take a while before any major changes can happen

yes but they have been planning this for the last 18 months - the virgin name was only allowed to be used once things had improved !!!!

Thumbs up Re: Currently Holding For 1 Hour To Cancel My Virgin Account

I'm with Zeph on this one - you should give VM a chance to play catch up.

the deal on the virgin name is that the customer service is improved - the launch of virgin has been planned for a long time

Talking Re: Currently Holding For 1 Hour To Cancel My Virgin Account

Hello again,

I just replied to one of your threads under 'which magazine votes sky best buy over virgin' where you said the below within brackets;
'which magazine has voted sky cheaper and better in their review of extra television channels'.

You seem to have a right bee in your bonnet with VM and is there something you are not telling us?

Come on the truth shall set u free

it talk abotu special deals there doing and the complaints that get refered to the ombusman.

All I can say is perhaps let VM get there act together. No doubt Sir Richard and co are having a lot of teething problems and the mo, especially this nonsense with Sky taking the channels off them is causing a lot of people to call in no doubt.

I would assume Sir Richard will soon have the same customer service in place as he does have with Virgin. I have faith in him to bounce back and wish him every success and if I was you I would request some sort of compo for you're time wasted, as it is a bit excessive. Lets give this great man a chance to shine.

If some people think calling him a great man is a bit much, then I would like to add it is my opinion and he has done an awfull lot for various charities and stil does.

Is it just me or have you noticed a distinct rise in posts which state the obvious and are by new users with few posts. Who start similar threads throughout the boards

I hope that people are not trying to spoil this board with troll posts, like certain other boards, which give information on digital TV have been.

I had remarked on it before - strange isn't it...
I also rang customer services yesterday - around 7:30pm to speak to billing, and the call was answered within 5mins or so, certainly not more than that.

Re: Currently Holding For 1 Hour To Cancel My Virgin Account

Well, I'm not a new poster and I'm not trying to troll but any criticism I make of CS is based on direct personal experience. I've been with cable since Cable & Wireless and Nynex days, which is quite a few years, and during that time I've had at least half a dozen occasions where I've had to contact CS. I can categorically state that on every occasion the service provided by CS has ranged from poor to appalling.

Perhaps things will change under Virgin. All I can say is that my experience so far suggests that nothing has changed for the better. We shall see.

Re: Currently Holding For 1 Hour To Cancel My Virgin Account

I'm an on/off poster. I come and go alot because I'm usually busy but I too have been with Cable since the early days of Nynex and C&W. But in my experience, only a handful of times, contacting CS, I've got nothing but praise for them. Problems resolved quickly and efficiently and always got what i wanted from my package.

But thats just me.

Well, between us it probably proves something about CS. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what.

Correct me if I'm wrong but are you not a new user? A new user with 4 posts to be correct.

Where is the logic in that your calling retentions to cancel because of how long it takes to get through to them? I think I can see the solution to your problem

That could be something to do with the fact that people only seem to come here to moan just recently.
