Have you tried pulling on the tin can to stretch the string a little tighter?

Test 2: 1024K took 1750 ms = 585.1 KB/sec, approx 4821 Kbps, 4.71 Mbps
Test 3: 1024K took 1750 ms = 585.1 KB/sec, approx 4821 Kbps, 4.71 Mbps
Test 4: 2048K took 3500 ms = 585.1 KB/sec, approx 4821 Kbps, 4.71 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 4810 Kbps, 4.7 Mbps

I have the same problems as you, I used to get 4meg speeds when i was on NTL but not anymore

Test 2: 1024K took 2153 ms = 475.6 KB/sec, approx 3919 Kbps, 3.83 Mbps
Test 3: 1024K took 2156 ms = 475 KB/sec, approx 3914 Kbps, 3.82 Mbps
Test 4: 2048K took 4309 ms = 475.3 KB/sec, approx 3916 Kbps, 3.82 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 3893 Kbps, 3.8 Mbps

....which ties with my overall experience, generally get most of my speed, most of the time.

I used to get good speeds with them.

Since i took out the TV and Phone, i now get crap.



Games are unplayable, takes ages to load sites.........

Test 1: 1024K took 45984 ms = 22.3 KB/sec, approx 184 Kbps, 0.18 Mbps
Test 2: 1024K took 61453 ms = 16.7 KB/sec, approx 138 Kbps, 0.13 Mbps
Test 3: 1024K took 58969 ms = 17.4 KB/sec, approx 143 Kbps, 0.14 Mbps
Test 4: 2048K took 100578 ms = 20.4 KB/sec, approx 168 Kbps, 0.16 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 158 Kbps, 0.15 Mbps

Bit strange, since they chopped my internet cable to add my v+ box, my internets gone cack, no ?

There is a problem with the power levels on your modem, this will require a
tech to visit to check the connection. Please let us know some days and
times and we will arrange it.

Reply from newsgroups, guess theres a problem with my modem.

They can check it from their end ?

They can check it from their end ?
They can see the modem logs etc but if they need to sort out power levels they need to send a engineer to your home.
