My apache config is fine, i run it from a flash drive at college often enough, serving up 20Mb files (which are 3 or 4 times bigger than what i want to serve at home) perfectly fine across the LAN. My name gets mentioned alot as you say CRC, not been hunted down as i used to work there, just they keep a close watch on me... Never has stopped me mind.

My apache config is fine to serve across LAN's, so i'm wondering if there are time-outs happening? I have Agnitum OutPost Pro firewall, and of course the one on the Linksys WRT54G running DD-WRT.

Re: My Apache's broken!

To answer a few questions.. yes, I use both a software firewall (ZoneAlarm) and hardware firewall (DD-WRT's firewall on a Linksys WRT54GS).

As for WebDAV... whaaap whaap. I've no idea what that is, to be honest!

EnableMMAP and Sendfile are already off.

Dont worry about DAV it's just a method of transfering files to the web server.....

PS your config file has EnableMMAP and Sendfile commented out....

Being commented out and specifically being set to off is a very big difference.

I recommend you read carefully that forum link I sent you.

I was just about to read that... but somehow I've fixed it through a reinstall. Ho ho. It works. Thanks for all your help!
